This intermediate course gives you the chance to take charge on short passages under instruction. You will concentrate on pilotage, boat handling, seamanship and navigation. It is highly recommended that you attend the Day Skipper shorebased theory course prior to this practical course.
Assumed Knowledge: Candidates should have previous sailing experience of at least 100 sea miles and have accumulated 4+ night hours.
Ability after course: Can skipper a small yacht in familiar waters by day.
Duration: 5 days (4 nights, accomodation on board)
Cost: R5,600 (includes meal allowance for essentials, mooring fees and RYA certificate)
